Getting involved in our Mentoring Program

Each new freshman and transfer student who joins the Binghamton Success Program will be assigned an upperclassman who will serve as a mentor. A mentor is someone who has traveled the path and gained valuable experience along the way. Because of this experience, he/she can offer you insightful advice - helping you to avoid potential pitfalls and problems. He/She can serve as both a trusted guide and a role model.

Your BSP mentor will be available to help you in:

• Make a successful transition to Binghamton University
• Learn where things are on campus
• Locate your classes
• Learn how to utilize campus resources
• Learn about campus activities
• Learn how to study, when to study and how much to study!
